He is known for giving his clients the benefit of his good old “hard work” ethics. His previous 15 years of sales work have provided him with many excellent contacts in his network.
Mike enjoys working as a buyer’s agent, helping outsiders move into the Bay of Plenty, and giving them an in-depth understanding of the real estate market in Tauranga.
He lists a mixture of residential and rural properties and also enjoys the challenge of helping different people meet their personal needs. Constantly learning and increasing his knowledge base is a key part of Mike’s philosophy.
Mike spent thirty years in the horticultural industry. He been both employed and self-employed and has experience in a wide range of business fields.
As an entrant into the industry just three years ago, Mike prides himself on being among the first wave of new salespeople to be trained to the National Certificate level in Real Estate. This is significant because the new Real Estate Agent’s Act that came into force at the end of 2008 seeks to achieve a fairer and more transparent industry that protects both buyer and seller. The new Act also was designed to ensure that real estate sales people have substantial knowledge of all aspects of real estate work.
Mike’s wife, Robyn, is the principal of Claridges Real Estate.Working together was another motivation for Mike to joining the industry. Mike enjoys being able to lean on her 17 years of experience and her vast knowledge and support when he needs it.
With their three boys grownup and spread around the globe, they love to work hard and travel. His main interests are reading, tramping, boating and enjoying the company of great friends.
